Comtech Telecommunications Corp. Receives $2.9 Million Power Order for Power Amplifiers to Support the Ground Multi-Band Terminal Program (GMT)

MELVILLE, N.Y., Oct. 31, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (NasdaqGS:CMTL - News) announced today that its Santa Clara, California-based subsidiary, Comtech Xicom Technology, Inc. received a $ 2.9 million order from a U.S. prime contractor for power amplifiers for a follow-on procurement for the Ground Multi-Band Terminal (GMT) program. The order consists of both Tri-band and Ka-band High Powered Amplifiers (HPA's ) that will be delivered over the next three quarters.

This order is the fourth in a series of ongoing HPA procurements for the Air Force GMT program that began in 2005 and which is expected to continue through 2011. Comtech, through its Tempe, Arizona-based subsidiary, EF Data Corp., also provides satellite modems for GMT.
