Wednesday September 24, 2008 7:39 am ET

SHENZHEN, China, Sept. 24, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- New Dragon Asia Corp. (AMEX:NWD - News), one of China's leading producers of instant noodles, flour-related products and soybean-derived products, today reaffirmed that all of its products continue to pass all relevant safety tests, including soybean powder used in powdered milk products produced by its customers. As previously announced, the Company has HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) certification from CCIC Conformity Assessment Services Co. Ltd., a Chinese quality assurance examination authority. HACCP is a systematic approach to identifying and eliminating hazards (microbiological, chemical or physical) in order to produce the highest quality food products. The implementation of HACCP is a legal requirement for many American and most European food companies.

Heng Jing Lu, Chairman of New Dragon Asia Corporation, stated, ``Our number one priority in the production process is ensuring the quality and safety of our products. We have always exercised the greatest caution in testing our products before they are distributed. In fact, we recently conducted detailed tests of our soybean products, including a product structure analysis and the results were compliant with our high standards. Our soybean powder is 100% derived from soybeans, with no chemicals added. As always, we will continue to closely monitor our product production processes.''
