TransAct Technologies Executes Preferred Partner Agreement With NCR Corporation's Systemedia Division

Agreement Significantly Expands Products to be Offered by TransAct

HAMDEN, Conn., Sept. 3, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- TransAct Technologies Incorporated (NasdaqGM:TACT - News), a global leader in market-specific printers for transaction-based industries, today announced that on behalf of its TransAct Services Group (TSG) division, the Company has executed a ``Preferred Partner'' agreement with NCR Corporation's Systemedia division. Under terms of the agreement, TransAct Services Group will market and sell over 250 paper and linerless label products manufactured by NCR.

The agreement will position TransAct Services Group to aggressively pursue markets that include the financial, retail and hospitality sectors with a significantly expanded product offering. The paper and linerless label products offered under the agreement will cover the full range of paper products for point- of-sale, credit card, kiosk, ATM, bank teller and gaming applications.

Concurrently, TransAct Services Group will be a dedicated partner to NCR through its http://www.transactsupplies.com e-commerce website that will provide a well positioned web-based distribution point for NCR products to address and penetrate the small to medium-sized business transaction supplies market. Additionally, the complement of the NCR product portfolio will greatly enhance and leverage TransAct's significant efforts in the e-commerce arena made over the past 12 months.
