Michigan Hispanic Chamber Holds Annual Golf Outing At 5 Golf Courses August 18

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., July 17, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- The Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (MHCC) holds its Annual Golf Outing on Monday, August 18, 2008, at five different Macomb County golf courses, making it the largest Hispanic golf outing in the country.

The outing will be played at Cherry Creek, The Glaciers, The Orchards, Twin Lakes and Greystone Golf Courses by more than 700 golfers. Golfers will gather at Cherry Creek for dinner and awards.

Golfers tee off with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. Comerica Bank is the event sponsor. Other major sponsors include Bank of America, Chrysler LLC, Delaco Kenwal, Ford Motor Company, Anchor Resource Management, Macquarie Capital (USA), Inc., Aztec Manufacturing, Plante Moran, Capacity Transport, Kellogg's, Rickman Enterprise and Sequoia Tool.

The Diez Group will sponsor a guaranteed $10,000 prize for the winner of the closest-to-the-pin shootout toward the purchase or lease of a new, domestic vehicle. The Goodman Venegas lnsurance Agency will sponsor a $1 million Hole-in-One Shootout. A vehicle provided by Ford, GM, Chrysler or the Elder Automotive Group is the hole-in-one prize at designated holes on the five golf courses. The day will end with a raffle drawing for a 2008 Saturn Sky with the entire raffle proceeds going to the Michigan Hispanic Fund, the philanthropic arm of the MHCC for college scholarships.
