Northrop Grumman to Consolidate and Protect U.S. Army's IT Networks Throughout European Theater

MCLEAN, Va., April 14, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC - News) has been awarded a contract to consolidate and centrally manage information technology (IT) resources for the U.S. Army's 5th Signal Command in Mannheim, Germany. Managed through the European Theater Network Operations Security Center (E-TNOSC), the effort will streamline the U.S. Army's European IT infrastructure to improve network integrity and security while reducing overall costs.

Northrop Grumman IT will lead partners ARTEL, Reston, Va., General Dynamics Information Technology, Fairfax, Va., and Strategic Business Systems, Herndon, Va., in this five-year, $30 million contract to ensure uninterrupted network operation and security. The contract incorporates a wide range of network management services including network defense, intrusion detection and analysis, remedy development and administration, and spectrum network management.
