Exploring the Relationship Between People and Technology

NEW YORK, Aug. 17, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- The Wall Street Journal Online today announced the launch of a new video podcast, ``Andy Jordan's Tech Diary.'' In a regular video segment that can be viewed free at http://www.wsj.com/techdiary, WSJ.com technology reporter Andy Jordan chronicles the (often odd) stories that can be found when people and technology come together. He will spend time with people and the technology they use, watching what happens to the people -- and the technology.

``Tech Diary is an extension of Andy's other work as a multimedia reporter covering technology,'' said Jason Anders, Technology Editor for The Wall Street Journal Online. ``The video podcast format is the perfect complement to the stories Andy tells so well on the quirky intersection of technology and culture.''

Tech Diary posts to date include:

 * 'iPhone Lovin' -- Can an iPhone improve your social life? Andy
finds one new owner willing to find out.

 * 'Into the Woods' -- Andy goes geocaching, a form of treasure
    hunting with GPS locators.

 * 'Wi-Fi Weirdness' -- Andy heads to Bryant Park in New York City to
see just what do people do on their laptops in a park that offers
free Wi-Fi Internet access -- some pretty strange stuff.

WSJ.com now has 10 free podcasts covering such diverse topics as small business, technology, home design, autos, personal finance, and the markets, with six more podcasts available from MarketWatch.com and one weekly podcast from Barron's Online. All podcasts are available free at http://www.wsj.com/podcasts and the Tech Diary video podcast is also available for download on iTunes.
