Will someone explain to me why in this tough job environment all the "advice" is centered on how to write the perfect resume, compose a catchy cover letter, or master the latest in interview etiquette? Sure, you need to pay attention to all of that, but my goodness, let's get real. If you want to snag that great new job, promotion, or raise, I think it is far more important to focus on your inner confidence. If you exude confidence you are going to get attention. In this super-competitive job market where boatloads of qualified folks are vying for the same job or promotion, that's the real key to success.

So I'm not going to spend any time dispensing resume tips. Please. You can get that elsewhere.
