Karin Gilford, the GM of Entertainment at Yahoo (NasdaqGS: YHOO - News), is among the latest to leave the trouble Internet company...TC reported it first and we have confirmed it as well. She is leaving to join Comcast, though not clear in what position. Gilford was in charge of all programming, content and overall business strategies for Yahoo Entertainment's consumer websites, including Yahoo Movies, Yahoo TV and Yahoo omg!, and was based in its Santa Monica offices. She was part of the streamlining of Yahoo's media group announced in April, but lots has changed at the company since then...including an exodus of senior execs.

No word yet on who will replace her...more to come later.

Staci adds: And now official confirmation from Yahoo ... a spokesman tells me that Gilford's boss Scott Moore will meet with the Entertainment team in the morning and the company won't release details about how entertainment will be handled before then. Entertainment also includes Kids, Food and new women's portal Shine.
