| The investment seeks high level of current income exempt from federal income taxes. The fund invests normally at least 80% of assets in obligations the income from which is exempt from federal income tax, that is, municipal obligations. Its portfolio consists primarily of investment grade long-term municipal bonds which are bonds rated BBB or higher and unrated debt obligations that are comparable in quality. The fund may invest up to 15% of assets in below-investment grade or high-yield municipal debt obligations. It may invest in all types of derivatives up to 20% of net assets. |
