FUND SUMMARY

The investment seeks long-term growth of capital; current income is a secondary concern. The fund invests primarily in the common stocks of U.S. companies in a variety of industries and market segments. It can also invests in debt securities, preferred stocks and convertible securities. The fund generally holds assets in high quality short-term debt securities to provide liquidity. It also invests in medium and smaller capitalization issuers although it may purchase securities of larger companies. No more than 25% of the Fund's total assets will be invested in the securities of foreign issuers.
