| The investment seeks a high level of interest income that is exempt from federal income tax and is not a tax preference item for purposes of the Alternative Minimum Tax (AMT). The fund invests in municipal bonds and other municipal securities that pay interest that is exempt from federal income tax and the federal AMT. It invests primarily in municipal bonds that are insured as to timely payment of interest and principal by independent insurance companies that are rated in the top rating category. The fund invests in long-term bonds with maturities of 15 years or more. |
