The fund invests at least 80% of assets in municipal bond obligations which consist of bonds, notes and commercial paper issued by states and their political subdivisions which pay interest that is exempt from federal income taxes. It maintains a dollar-weighted average portfolio maturity of between three and 10 years. It may purchase securities rated in one of the four highest rating categories by a Rating Agency or unrated securities of comparable quality. |
