| The investment seeks capital growth with the potential for current income. The fund normally invests at least 80% of assets in the common stocks of large U.S. companies. In addition, it will seek to maintain a weighted average market capitalization that falls within the range of the Russell 1000 index. The fund intends to seek additional income primarily by investing up to 20% of assets in convertible bonds, including below investment grade bonds, and convertible preferred stocks of any quality. It may also invest up to 20% of assets in foreign securities. |
