| The investment seeks a high yield exempt from federal income taxes. The fund normally invests at least 80% of net assets in municipal bonds and in other debt obligations issued by or on behalf of state or local governmental units whose interest is exempt from federal income tax and is not subject to the alternative minimum tax(AMT). It may invest up to 20% of net assets in debt obligations the interest from which is subject to AMT. The Fund invests in medium and higher quality municipal bonds and other debt obligations. It may also invest in lower-quality bonds which help to obtain a higher portfolio yield. |
