| Questar Corporation, a natural gas-focused energy company, through its subsidiaries, engages in oil and gas exploration and production, midstream field services, energy marketing, interstate gas transportation, and retail gas distribution. It acquires, explores for, develops, and produces natural gas, oil, and natural gas liquids; provides midstream field services, including natural gas-gathering and processing services for affiliates and third parties; markets equity and third-party natural gas and oil; provides risk-management services; and owns and operates an underground gas-storage reservoir. The company also provides interstate natural gas transportation and storage, and other energy services, as well as provides retail natural gas distribution services in Utah, Wyoming, and Idaho. As December 31, 2007, it had 1,867.6 Bcfe of estimated proved reserves; served 873,607 sales and transportation customers; and owned 2,505 miles of interstate pipeline with a daily capacity of 4,006 Mdth, as well as owned and operated the 488-mile Southern Trails Pipeline from the Blanco hub in the San Juan Basin to the California state line.
