In addition, it offers various signal path products, such as operational amplifiers, audio amplifiers, analog-to-digital converters and digital-to-analog converters, precision timing products, communication interface and signal-conditioning products, and thermal management products, as well as integrated circuits and contract services to avionics, defense, and aerospace customers. The company’s power management integrated circuits convert and regulate voltages to ensure that electronic systems operate with the lowest power consumption; and signal path integrated circuits handle the requisite analog technology for information or data, as it travels from the point where it enters the electronic system, and is conditioned, converted, and processed to the point where it is sent out. National Semiconductor supplies analog and mixed-signal semiconductor products to various markets, such as the industrial, communications, computing, consumer, medical and automotive, wireless handsets, displays, personal computers, and communications infrastructure through direct sales force and third party distributors.
