Comerica Incorporated, through its subsidiaries, provides financial products and services in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The company’s Business Bank segment comprises middle market, commercial real estate, national dealer services, international finance, global corporate, leasing, financial services, and technology and life sciences businesses. This segment offers commercial loans and lines of credit, deposits, cash management, capital market products, international trade finance, letters of credit, foreign exchange management services, and loan syndication services to medium-size businesses, multinational corporations, and governmental entities. Its Retail Bank segment offers small business banking and personal financial services, including consumer lending, consumer deposit gathering, and mortgage loan origination. This segment also provides consumer products, including deposit accounts, installment loans, credit cards, student loans, home equity loans and lines of credit, and residential mortgage loans to small business customers. The company’s Wealth and Institutional Management segment offers products and services, consisting of fiduciary services, private banking, retirement services, investment management and advisory services, investment banking, and discount securities brokerage services. This segment also sells annuity products, as well as life, disability, and long-term care insurance products. As of December 31, 2007, Comerica Incorporated, through its banking affiliates, operated approximately 482 banking centers, trust services locations, and loan production or other financial services offices primarily in the states of Texas, Michigan, California, and Florida. The company was founded in 1849 and is headquartered in Dallas, Texas.
