NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA--(MARKET WIRE)--Nov 3, 2008 -- The Society of Financial Service Professionals (FSP) has elected its Executive Committee for 2008-2009 as well as five new members of its Board of Directors. Serving on the executive committee of FSP's board are:

-- President: Roderick P. Hansen, CFP®, CLU, ChFC, regional vice president with Pacific Life in Boca Raton, FL

-- President-elect: R. Clifford Berg, Jr., CLU, ChFC, AEP, MSFS, vice president of The Financial House, Centreville, DE

-- Secretary: Thomas L. Petsche, CLU, ChFC, RHU, president of Brokerage Solutions, Inc., Cedar Rapids, IA

-- Immediate Past President: James J. Tyrpak, CLU, ChFC, MSFS, AEP, president of Desmon, Kohnstamm & Tyrpak, Inc., Buffalo, NY

Joseph E. Frack, CPA, chief executive officer of FSP, also serves on the Executive Committee. The new Executive Committee's term runs from November 1, 2008 to October 31, 2009.

Five new members were also elected to the FSP Board of Directors, each of whom will serve a three-year term on the 20-member board. They are:

-- Geoffrey E. Pfeiffer, JD, CLU, ChFC, FLMI, senior design advisor of Benefit Concepts, Inc., Greenwood Village, CO.

-- Michael J. Reid, CLU, ChFC, an agent with the New York Life Insurance Company in Peoria Heights, IL.
