Melanie Gray,
a seasoned industry executive with extensive operational
experience, has
been named Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Gray, formerly
Vice President of
Marketing and Strategic Alliances at Movêro, will be
responsible for
stewarding all aspects of the company's operations and strategic
direction.
Gray takes over the CEO responsibilities from co-founder
Bruce Friedman who
will move into the newly created position of Chief Technology
Officer where
he will be responsible for driving the company's strategic
technology
initiatives. The company also announced the appointment of John Smolucha as Vice President of Marketing and Product Management. With more than 20 years of technology marketing experience, Smolucha will be responsible for overseeing worldwide marketing operations and will strengthen Movêro's ability to execute on its vision of helping enterprise organizations leverage and manage the adoption of mobile technology. Prior to her position at Cisco, Gray launched the "Laptops for Students" program at Dell. She has held various sales and marketing roles at 3M and Abbott Labs in addition to five years at KPMG. Gray holds her M.B.A. in Marketing from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and B.A. in Accounting and Business from Muskingum College.
