Storage Board to the AdvancedTCA and MicroTCA community

LeanSTOR Solid State Storage is designed as the replacement for existing AMC Solid State Drives (AMC SSD) and AMC Hard Disk Drives (AMC HDD). LeanSTOR AMC Storage provides three times and two times higher reliability to HDD and SSD technologies, respectively, due to the fact that LeanSTOR NAND flash reliability is aligned with other silicon components onboard. In addition, Virtium's middleware seamlessly integrates the communication between the flash hardware, SATA controller to chipset on the AMC Processor, and the MMC. The LeanSTOR SATA Storage Board solution offers fast data transfer rates of 100MB/s read and 67MB/s write, and comes in a select range of storage capacities from 32GB to 128GB. Depending upon the application, users can choose Multi-Level Cell (MLC) or Single Level Cell (SLC) NAND Flash with the standard offering of Error Correction (ECC) and smart wear leveling algorithm to best extend the life of the AMC Storage. "Our LeanSTOR SATA Storage Board solution was developed in specific response to the ATCA and MicroTCA industry's unmet need for more reliable storage technology at extended temperature range, faster data transfer with AMC processor boards, and higher capacity," stated John Park, vice president of sales & marketing at Virtium. "Even more, the weight of LeanSTOR AMC Storage is approximately four times to two times less than the weight of AMC HDD and AMC SSD, respectively.
