NTEC Launches Pre-Opening Leasing Campaign for Its Newly Constructed Med-Tech Accelerator

FRISCO, TX--(MARKET WIRE)--Oct 20, 2008 -- The North Texas Enterprise Center for Medical Technology (NTEC), a business accelerator for medical device and healthcare related technology firms, announced today that it has launched a comprehensive nationwide marketing program for pre-leasing space in its newly constructed 50,000 square foot building located at 6170 Research Road in Frisco, Texas. NTEC's new facility makes it the largest medical technology start-up accelerator in the Southwest, and further positions Frisco as a "Med-Tech Corridor" for new companies, medical technology jobs and economic growth.

"We're excited about our future as a catalyst for building long term economic value and job growth for Frisco, as well as the region, in a stable industry," said Larry Calton, executive director of NTEC. "This new facility positions NTEC to attract national and international med-tech start-ups and the investors that support them."

NTEC's new facility has two floors, 80 offices, 30 cubes and 45 lab seats. The lobby is two stories with large spaces for technology displays of products produced by NTECs program companies. The building features an industrial modern look with steel, concrete and glass and it overlooks a small lake. The facility offers fully furnished and flexible offices and cubes, state-of-the-art wired and wireless voice, data and video communications, conference rooms with audio visual equipment, fully equipped print production room, kitchen/lunch/training room with appliances, coffee bars and a fitness facility with 24 hour access. In addition, the new facility includes roughly 10,000 square feet of biolabs, device labs and prototyping labs to empower life-science start-ups.

"During our pre-leasing campaign, applicants can take advantage of first-mover incentives," said Dr. Hubert Zajicek, director of NTEC. "Office leasing rates start at $775 per month, cubes are $590 per month, lab benches start at $875 per month and rates for larger and/or special space needs that include office and lab space are determined by the actual requirement."
