St. Andrew's-Wesley Homelessness and Mental Health Action Group: Vancouver Mayoralty Candidates to Debate Homelessness, Affordable Housing, Mental Health and Addiction Treatment Issues

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(MARKET WIRE)--Oct 6, 2008 -- The two main candidates for Mayor in Vancouver's upcoming civic election - Peter Ladner and Gregor Robertson -- will face-off in a free public debate on Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008.

The debate will focus on the following key issues: street homelessness, affordable housing, the mental health crisis and the need for additional addiction treatment services.

As well as the formal debate, members of the public will also be given the opportunity to ask the candidates questions. The debate is being hosted by St. Andrew's-Wesley Homelessness and Mental Health Action Group.

Event: Vancouver Mayoralty Candidates Debate

Where/When: Tuesday, October 22, 2008. St. Andrew's-Wesley United Church. Burrard at Nelson (1022 Nelson Street), Vancouver. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., debate begins at 7 p.m.
