Lawsuit Filed Against Home Equity Mortgage Trust 2006-5 and Others

NEW YORK, NY--(MARKET WIRE)--Oct 6, 2008 -- A lawsuit is pending in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York captioned New Jersey Carpenters Health Fund v. Home Equity Mortgage Trust 2006-5, Credit Suisse First Boston Mortgage Securities Corporation, Andrew A. Kimura, Thomas Zingalli, Jeffery A. Altabef, Michael A. Marriott, Evelyn Echevarria, Credit Suisse Group, Credit Suisse (USA), LLC, Credit Suisse Securities (USA), LLC, Moody's Investors Service, Inc., The McGraw-Hill Companies, Inc. and DBRS, Inc., Docket No. 08-CV-5653. The lawsuit was filed on behalf of all purchasers of Home Equity Mortgage Pass-through Certificates who purchased said certificates pursuant or traceable to the October 30, 2006 offering. The lawsuit asserts claims under sections 11, 12 and 15 of the Securities Act of 1933. The complaint alleges that defendants made material misstatements and omissions in connection with the offering regarding the collateral underlying the certificates. If you purchased Home Equity Mortgage Pass-through Certificates pursuant or traceable to a misleading registration statement, you may file a motion before the court no later than sixty (60) days from today to be appointed to lead the case on behalf of all eligible purchasers.
