Lab Reports Confirm Purio Makes Safe Drinking Water From Dirty Pond
Thursday September 25, 2008 9:30 am ET

BLAINE, WA--(MARKET WIRE)--Sep 25, 2008 -- Purio Inc. (OTC BB:PURO.OB - News) is pleased to report that it has received the first of two independent lab reports on water samples produced during its recent pair of demonstrations of their transportable water purification system. (see media release of Aug. 11, 2008).

"This lab report confirms results obtained from our on-board monitoring system," says Leonard Girard, Chief Science Officer with Purio. "Our first demonstration this season processed dirty water from an open pond located in a farming region of North Central Saskatchewan, Canada, during the hot mid-summer growing season. There were wild marsh plants and vegetation around the perimeter of the pond and wildlife such as waterfowl, insects and small animals in and around it. Our unit was set to process about 3250 USG (12,250 liters) per day. Our portable water clarification and purification unit is equipped with on-board testing monitors which display water quality parameters in real-time at several points along the treatment train during operation. These monitors gave us confidence that our unit was producing safe, aesthetically pleasing water at the time. Of course the most important area of concern is the unit's ability to eliminate E. coli and coliform bacteria which present serious risk to human health if ingested. Our monitors, as well as the accredited lab report (summarized below) both agree that the drinking water produced was clear, bacteria-free and sanitary."

Girard continues, "Pond water like this typically contains high levels of dissolved organic materials which could cause high levels of Trihalomethanes (commonly called THMs, such as Chloroform, many of which have been identified as carcinogens) if sanitized in conventional methods involving high levels of Chlorine or Chloramines. Our process does not use Chlorine at all and therefore we are able to produce a THM-free, therefore safer, healthier drinking water."

Earl Switenky, spokesman for Purio Inc., says, "Our compact unit is able to produce safe drinking water without any membrane filtration. This money-saving factor, coupled with our energy-efficient, process allows us to achieve such remarkable results while keeping our process cost low. The lab tested some 34 organic and inorganic analytes and the table below summarizes some of the most important ones which prove the powerful effectiveness of our clarifier and sanitizing chambers."
