Ms. Evan spent 12 years as the CFO of VeriSign, Inc. until her retirement in 2007. She was one of the founding executives at VeriSign and a significant contributor to the company's growth and profitability, helping to drive the company to a multi-billion dollar enterprise. She was also instrumental in the execution and integration of approximately 60 merger and acquisition transactions during her tenure.

In addition to her board role at Proofpoint, she currently serves as a director for SaaS Web analytics and business optimization vendor Omniture, Inc. and Second Life developer Linden Lab.
