Lantz, CPA, Partner and Director of Government Services with Sikich LLP, will present a session on Other Post-Employment Benefits (OPEB), "Are You Ready for OPEB Reporting," for attendees at the 95th Annual Illinois Municipal League (IML) Conference held at the Hilton Chicago Hotel, September 26, 2008.

New disclosure requirements issued by the Government Accounting Standards Board advise that all OPEB benefits, such as health care, must be reported as liabilities. This session will inform municipal officials about what this development means for their budgets, and what steps municipalities should take to make OPEB costs more palatable while ensuring compliance.
