SaaS Industry Leaders Join Genius.com as Company Expands Operations and Client Services

Rick Gustafson to Oversee Financial Strategy and Business Operations, Shirley Foster to Lead Product Development and Sam Weber to Head Expanded Client Services Organization

Rick Gustafson, previously with Ketera, will head financial strategy and business operations; Shirley Foster, previously with Buzzsaw.com, will oversee all aspects of IT, engineering and product development; and Sam Weber, formerly of KnowNow and E.piphany, will lead Client Services (see separate release). These executives are key to achieving the rapid growth strategy of Genius.com, which has doubled its customer base in the past year to more than 500 customers with over 35,000 users in 160 countries.

Gustafson brings over 20 years of financial management and leadership experience guiding emerging growth technology companies through key growth and transition stages. Prior to his appointment at Genius, he was the CFO of Ketera Technologies, a pioneer in the B-to-B SaaS market, where he co-led the successful transition of the company to a pure subscription-based on-demand model. During the years, Rick has helped guide more than a dozen emerging growth venture-backed technology companies. Earlier in his career, he held financial management roles at IBM and Ernst & Young.

Shirley Foster, Vice President of Engineering and Operations

Foster has established an impressive track record, building high-growth, results-oriented engineering organizations. Previously, she directed all product development efforts for Tablus, a data loss prevention service provider, with such world-class customers as Wal-Mart, AT&T and Microsoft. While there, she formalized the product development process to double its scale in less than 12 months. A twenty-year industry veteran, Foster has also managed strategic product development teams at BuzzSaw, MailFrontier, Clarus Systems and Sterling Software, Inc.

Sam Weber, Vice President Client Services

Weber brings to his role his extensive experience in enterprise software sales, pre-sales, support and professional services. Most recently, Weber served as Vice President of Technical Services at KnowNow, an RSS collaboration service provider, where he managed sales engineering, customer support and professional services, tripling the group's revenues to account for nearly 40% of company income. Prior to KnowNow, Weber spent nearly 8 years in a variety of strategic roles at CRM pioneer, E.piphany and held technical management roles at Clarify and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati.
