MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(MARKET WIRE)--Sep 3, 2008 -- Micasa.ca, the leading housing and real estate site in Quebec, is making its technology platform available to Yahoo! Quebec users. This agreement is part of a broader strategic alliance formed between Canoe.ca and Yahoo! Canada in early January. Together, these leading Internet destinations reach more than 75% of all French-speaking Internet users in Canada.

"Micasa.ca is pleased to be expanding the scope of its real estate offering, which is also available on Canoe.ca, the Classifiedextra.ca and Vitevitevite.ca classified ad networks, and the English- and French-language versions of the Quebecor Media newspaper websites," says Stefan St-Laurent - VP Automotive, Homes & Real Estate, & Classifieds, which are part of the Canoe.ca network. "This partnership between our two companies reflects our ongoing mission to offer Quebec Internet users quality content and a rich online browsing experience."

Through this agreement, Yahoo! Quebec will be able to enrich its content, offer a wider range of services to users and expand Micasa.ca's reach, which will directly benefit real estate agents and individuals looking to sell or rent their homes or properties.

"Yahoo! Quebec's alliance with Micasa.ca means more local content and services that are directly relevant to the daily lives of Quebec Internet users," says Lain Wilson, Director of Business Development, Yahoo! Canada. "It doesn't get more local than real estate - and we are very excited to be able to bring such a valuable real estate-focused tool to our online community in Quebec."

As part of the strategic alliance between Canoe.ca and Yahoo! Canada, Yahoo! Quebec users now have access to Micasa.ca in addition to the Reseaucontact.com dating site and the Vitevitevite.ca classified ad network. In the coming weeks, the Autonet.ca site, a leading source for new and used vehicles, will also be accessible through the Yahoo! Quebec network.
