Green Energy Resources Wants Hurricane Storm Wood Launches Sale of 200,000 Tons of Carbon Offsets Credits NEW YORK, NY--(MARKET WIRE)--Sep 3, 2008 -- Green Energy Resources (Other OTC:GRGR.PK - News)
seeks hurricane storm damaged trees to turn into renewable
energy. The
company is looking to partner with FEMA, the states and
municipalities
affected by hurricanes to achieve four goals: 1) procure
wood to turn into
renewable energy; 2) utilize storm wood to prevent carbon
and methane
from being released into the atmosphere; 3) prevent storm
damaged wood from
ending up in local landfills at taxpayer expense; 4) create
value and jobs
from storm damage waste wood. Green Energy Resources can
take up to 10
million tons in 2008. Approximately 27 million tons of wood waste (exclusive of major storms) is discarded every year in the United States. The waste wood creates about 52 million tons of carbon and methane greenhouse gases annually released into the atmosphere. The discarded wood comes from every possible source: landscaping, road clearings, residential demolition, Xmas trees, and major storms, such as hurricanes. Huge storms or multiple storms add millions and millions of tons into the nation's landfills that could otherwise be utilized for energy. Green Energy Resources' mission is to change wood waste into a major biomass energy resource. The renewable energy industry has biomass applications that include cellulostic ethanol, gasification, co-firing with coal, direct burn, and others uses. Carbon Offset credits help protect our environment with measurable, quantifiable and beneficial results for tracking and certifying volumes of wood diverted from landfills. SALE OF CARBON OFFSETS Green Energy Resources is offering 200,000 tons of carbon offset credits for sale. The sale is open to all interested parties and individuals. Proceeds will be utilized to reduce carbon and methane emissions from being released into the atmosphere. The carbon offset credits are available at www.greenenergyresources.com at a cost of $6 per carbon ton. Each ton of wood diverted or received from a landfill and sold to a power generating facility qualifies as a marketable and redeemable carbon credit. Contact: CONTACT:
