ARDEN, NC--(MARKET WIRE)--Aug 28, 2008 -- Homeland Integrated Security Systems, Inc. (Other OTC:HISU.PK - News) announced that the Company has submitted a bid to supply the South Carolina Departments of Education and Transportation with up to 12,250 Cyber Tracker CT-410 units with sensor packs, WiFi and software. The South Carolina Departments will use the units to provide the necessary data to compare current fuel consumption and vehicle emissions to previous years as well as reduce fuel consumption.

The South Carolina Department of Education operates approximately 5,600 school buses, while at the same time, the Department of Transportation operates a fleet of approximately 20,800 vehicles. If the bid is awarded to Homeland, the CT-410 will assist the departments in managing their fleet fuel usage and emissions. According to a national study, the use of a GPS device can save 13% of the fuel used by vehicles. By reducing non-essential idle time, school buses can save 30 gallons of fuel per bus per year and dramatically reduce emissions.

"We have offered the South Carolina Departments of Education and Transportation a package that meets all of their requirements and we believe our bid is very competitive," stated Fred Wicks, CEO and President of Homeland Integrated Security Systems, Inc. "If awarded as submitted, the total value of the bid could be in excess of $20,000,000 over a five year period."
