KANATA, ONTARIO--(MARKET WIRE)--Aug 14, 2008 -- Calian Technologies Ltd. (Toronto:CTY.TO - News) is pleased to announce that its SED division has received a contract valued at $11.7 million from DRS Sustainment Systems Inc. to manufacture Aerial Head Assemblies (AHAs) for DRS's Manportable Surveillance and Target Acquisition Radar (MSTAR). The Radars will be used for perimeter security and surveillance.

Under the terms of the agreement, SED will provide 227 Aerial Head Assemblies and associated electronics. Programmatic tasks will commence immediately with deliveries scheduled through to April 2009.
