MINNEAPOLIS, MN--(MARKET WIRE)--Aug 4, 2008 -- Advantage Rent A Car has announced its selection of W.W. Grainger, Inc. as the car rental company's preferred partner for maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) purchases.

Lake Forest, Ill.-based Grainger will provide specific product categories to each of Advantage's more than 80 locations, including: motors, HVAC, electrical and lighting, material handling, janitorial supplies, tools, safety supplies, car wash chemicals, fasteners, metalworking, pumps, pipes, plumbing, pneumatics, and hydraulics.

Many of these products will assist Advantage in moving forward with its commitment to becoming the first major all green car rental company in the United States.
