Yellow Pages Association Launches Think Green Column on "Yellow Is Green" Environmental Site Think Green Columnists Evoke Fresh Ideas and Historical Perspectives on Environment and Yellow Pages Industry BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ--(MARKET WIRE)--Jul 17, 2008 -- Providing a voice for environmental
and yellow pages industry movers and shakers, the Yellow Pages Association(TM)
(YPA(TM)), today launched the Think Green Column on its
Yellow is Green Environmental
Web
site. Appearing monthly, the Think Green Columns share
opinions, ideas
and even historical perspectives on the environment and
the yellow pages. "As Yellow Pages are the lifeline for many small businesses trying to reach ready-to-buy consumers, it's imperative for our organization to provide a forum where yellow pages and environmental industry influencers can share their views and break new ground," said Neg Norton, president of YPA. The inaugural issue features Nippon Paper Industries' Vice President of Sales and Marketing John Howell, who has been working in the yellow pages paper industry for nearly 30 years. This Think Green column addresses the paper supply challenges facing the Yellow Pages industry today including increased demand from China for fiber; low fiber availability due to the housing market decline; and environmental pressures from proposed Yellow Pages legislation. To submit a Think Green Column for the Yellow is Green Web site, please contact Kacy Hayner at kacy.hayner@ypassociation.org.
