Anti-Aging Supplements Vitamins C and E Reduce Risk of Alzheimer's Feelgoodforlife.com Reports on Anti-Aging Vitamins and How They Can Reduce the Risk of Dementia PASADENA, CA--(MARKET WIRE)--Jul 15, 2008 -- If the incidence of Alzheimer's continues to
increase at the current rate more than 81 million people
worldwide will be
suffering from the disease by 2040. However, according to
a recent study,
the risk of developing the disease may be significantly
reduced by a
combination of vitamins E and C and ibuprofen. Feelgoodforlife.com
provides
additional information on which anti-aging
supplements help Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.
However, that will be some years off. In the meantime, although the addition of ibuprofen is new, this study is not the first to demonstrate the benefits of anti-aging supplements such as vitamins C and E in battling this all too common disease. The result of a five year study on the effects of vitamin E on Alzheimer's sufferers showed that those who took vitamin E were 26% less likely to die. Earlier research conducted by Peter Zandi of Johns Hopkins University discovered that people over 65 who had been taking vitamin E and C in combination were less likely to have Alzheimer's. Also, when he checked the study participants three or four years later, fewer people had developed Alzheimer's among those who were taking vitamins E and C than those who were not. Other anti-aging supplements that have been linked to reduced risk of Alzheimer's include vitamin B6, B12 and folate. Anti-aging supplements that lower homocysteine levels may also reduce the risk of Alzheimer's, as well as several other diseases such as heart attack, stroke, depression, multiple sclerosis, menopausal symptoms, and rheumatoid arthritis.
