Unique Gift Baskets: Well Wishers International Exposed for Ripping Off Travel Agents
Wednesday May 21, 9:00 am ET

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(MARKET WIRE)--May 21, 2008 -- A long-established, Canadian gift service tries to spare other innocent travel industry suppliers the disappointment and humiliation it suffered at the hands of an unethical U.S.- based gift company.

As a result of leaving its supplier "badly burned" in 2006, Well Wishers International - an Oak Ridge, Tennessee-based, on-line gift order-taker - was forced to find an alternate Vancouver-based vendor to handle its Alaska Cruise Gift business out of the Port of Vancouver and various stops in Alaska, in 2007. (The majority of Well Wishers' business is comprised of orders from AAA Cruise Travel Agents throughout the United States.)

Alerted to Well Wishers habit of using every "dirty trick in the book" not to pay her Vancouver-based company - Unique Gift Baskets - Deborah Faurot was "shocked" to observe first-hand exactly what this rogue company was actually providing to its AAA Travel Agent-clients. (To support Ms. Faurot's claims, please see the photos of Well Wishers' products and presentations. These photos not only prove her findings, but truly reveal that the presentation of products purchased by AAA Travel Agents through the Well Wishers Int'l Website are an embarrassment to their credibility and an insult to their customers. A picture is worth a thousand words, and these reveal the Truth.)

At the time, Ms. Faurot's first instinct was to inform AAA Travel Agents about her findings, but - at the same time - she was reluctant to jeopardize any possibility of recapturing the $11,000 for which Well Wishers was already in arrears. Would Well Wishers actually come through with all their false promises to pay the outstanding account? Time has clearly demonstrated that the "cheating" company had no intention of settling its Canadian accounts. Now that this matter is in the hands of a collection agency, Ms. Faurot feels all travel agents should be aware of what they are truly ordering when they push the "send" button on Well Wishers International's on-line order desk.

During that previous cruise season, in what Ms. Faurot imagined would be viewed as a gesture of good faith to Well Wishers (in the hope that Well Wishers would then place Unique Gift Baskets at the top of its debtors' list), Ms. Faurot personally contacted Mort Walco - president of Well Wishers - to inform him that his Vancouver vendor was leaving AAA Travel Agents' passenger gifts "unattended" in the Port of Vancouver terminal and that these items might not get on-board the ship.

Mr. Walco's response was: "We've done our job by delivering to the terminal." Not only did Well Wishers International appear to completely disregard whether or not its orders were received by AAA Travel Agents' passengers, but they were seriously misleading these valuable clients with false advertising.

Ms. Faurot is committed to go to whatever lengths it takes to warn travel agents and vendors to be wary of any business dealings with Well Wishers, saying: "I can't in good conscience remain quiet while unsuspecting travel agents are being ripped-off."
