The Gander Community Centre will receive a boost from Molson today when it receives a $10,000 donation that the town will use to purchase a stage that can be easily set up for events at the Community Centre.

"We recognize that this centre is at the very heart of many activities in Gander and we wanted to play our part to make it easier to host current events and even attract new ones," said Jim Rogers, Molson Sales Representative.

The stage is expected to be installed in June, ahead of the busy summer events season.

"Having this stage means that we will no longer have to build and tear down a stage every time we have an event. This makes it much easier for us to bring events to Gander," said Mayor Claude Elliott. "By working together with our residents and community partners like Molson we can continue to make great things happen in Gander."

The donation will be presented to Mayor Elliot at made at Molson's annual Sales & Distribution conference today at 7 pm.
