Romarco Responds to Reports of Lawsuit From Former CFO

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(MARKET WIRE)--Apr 28, 2008 -- ROMARCO MINERALS INC. (CDNX:R.V - News) (the "Company") announces that it can confirm reports that Mr. Simon Dorey, former CFO of the Company, has filed a lawsuit against the Company claiming damages for his departure from the Company in December, 2007.

According to Mr. Dorey's statement of claim, he is suing for $175,000 representing one year's pay in lieu of notice of termination, as well as minor amounts for expenses, plus punitive damages.

Management believes that the claims are without merit and the Company intends to vigorously defend itself in the matter.
