Western Troy Publishes and Files NI 43-101 Compliant MacLeod Lake Preliminary Assessment (Scoping Study)

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(MARKET WIRE)--Apr 24, 2008 -- Western Troy Capital Resources Inc. (CDNX:WRY.V - News) ("Western Troy") today announced it has received an NI 43-101 compliant final MacLeod Lake Molybdenum Copper Project Preliminary Assessment from Scott Wilson Roscoe Postle Associates Inc. (Scott Wilson RPA) of Toronto. Copies of the report will be filed on the SEDAR system today and will also be available on Western Troy's website (www.westerntroy.com). A summary of the results of the study was released by Western Troy in a press release dated March 10, 2008, a copy of which can also be found on Western Troy's website.

Western Troy's President, Rex Loesby, commented, "Based on the positive results of Scott Wilson RPA's work, we have made the decision to bring a mine at MacLeod Lake into production on an expedited schedule. We are currently meeting with engineering and environmental consulting groups to select the best contractors to provide a final feasibility study and obtain all necessary permits for the mine. Our goal is to have the feasibility study complete and all permits and agreements in hand to allow mine construction to begin in late 2009 or early 2010. We estimate road and mine construction will require approximately 26 months so the mine could be in production by the spring of 2012."

Scott Wilson RPA Qualified Persons responsible for the Preliminary Assessment are Reno Pressacco, M. Sc(A), P.Geo., Associate Consulting Geologist, Barry Cook, M.Sc., P.Eng. Associate Consulting Geologist, Kevin Scott, P.Eng., Consulting Metallurgist, and Jason Cox, P.Eng., Supervisor of Mine Engineering.
