International Kirkland Minerals Demobilizes From Rupert River Until Summer 2008 VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(MARKET WIRE)--Jan 29, 2008 -- INTERNATIONAL KIRKLAND MINERALS INC. ("IKI"/the Company")
(CDNX:IKI.V - News) announces that it has commenced demobilization
from the current drill program at it's Rupert River Uranium
property in northern Quebec. The unavailability of obtaining replacement parts for the on-site tractor, or securing a new tractor, in a timely manner is not possible at this time. The tractor is required in the course of exploration of the property to move the drill rig to and from drill sites situated on the property. The resulting standby charges to be incurred by the company for its mobilized winter camp while waiting for parts or a new tractor are not in the company's best financial interests. Further drilling at Rupert River is scheduled for the summer of 2008. ON BEHALF OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS Dan M. Clark, President & CEO The forgoing information may contain forward-looking statements relating to the future performance of the Company. Forward looking statements, specifically those concerning future performance, are subject to certain risks and uncertainties, and actual results may differ materially. These risks and uncertainties are detailed from time to time in the Company's filings with the appropriate regulatory authorities.
