MDN Inc.: The Isambara Shear Unveals More High-Grade Mineralization The 2008 drilling program at Isambara has started MONTREAL, JANUARY 22, 2008--(MARKET WIRE)--Jan 22, 2008 -- MDN Inc. ("MDN")(Toronto:MDN.TO - News) is pleased to announce the results
of the third phase of its 2007 drilling program at Isambara,
a project located at a distance of 28 km from the Tulawaka
Gold Mine. More high-grade gold was intersected over a distance of 2 km along the "Isambara shear", a north-south shear corridor running through the East Target and Grid A area (Figure 1, ISRC-133) at a distance of 2 km. The structure returned intersections such as 4 m at 4.11 g/t Au including 1m at 15.20 g/t Au in ISRC-152 and 2 m at 8.07 g/t Au in ISRC-159. Additionally, high-grade mineralization such as 1 m @ 14.90 g/t was intersected in ISRC-156 at distance from the shear. A total of 2,981m in 31 RC holes (ISRC-149 to ISRC-179) were drilled in the third phase of the 2007 program. Detail results above 1 g/t Au are presented in the table. The location of drill holes is presented in figures 1 and 2.

Isambara - Phase 3 RC drilling results (See fence location on figure 1)The first phase of the Isambara program in 2008 aims at still increasing the size of the identified mineralized system and consists of 6,000m of RC drilling, 1,500m of diamond drilling and 1,000m of RAB drilling. Drilling has already resumed with completing fence S-2 (stopped at mid-December 2007 short of cutting the shear). It will be followed by additional fences across the remaining untested 2 km of the Isambara shear coinciding with the northern part of the gold-in-soil anomaly and across other structures. "We are very pleased with the way the Isambara Project has progressed in 2007. We now understand the major controls of the mineralization and established the systematic presence of high-grade gold mineralization along the Isambara shear. The first phase of our 2008 exploration project will still focus at expanding the size of the mineralized system. The Isambara shear is only tested over half its length and numerous other structures remain to be explored." said Dominique Fournier, Ph.D., Vice President Exploration of MDN Inc. All samples were analyzed by fire assay at the SGS laboratories in Tanzania, certified under international standards. A rigorous program of analytical grade verification implemented by MDN included 12% control samples. Technical information in this release was reviewed by geologist Dominique Fournier, Ph.D., who acted as a qualified person in accordance with NI 43-101. The Isambara licence is part of the Simba project, a partnership between MDN (70%) which is the operator, Lakota Resources (15%) of Toronto, and Jope Business Associates (15%) of Dar-es-Salaam. Isambara covers a territory of 40 km(2) and is located 28 km north of the Tulawaka Gold Mine. MDN Inc. is a Montreal-based Canadian exploration company that holds a 30% participation in the Tulawaka Gold Mine (Tanzania). Its main exploration activities are carried out in Quebec through gold and base metal interests and in Tanzania through a majority interest in 20 adjacent mineral licenses.
