Top 5 Most Requested Hair Styles of 2007 and Trend Predictions for 2008 Top Salon, SalonCapri, Recaps the Most Wanted Looks of the Year NEWTON, MA and HYDE PARK, MA--(MARKET WIRE)--Dec 13, 2007 -- SalonCapri today announces
their annual list of the top 5 most requested hair styles
of 2007.
1. The Posh
If one wanted to "go short" this year, they requested the famed "Posh"
hairdo, the asymmetrical bob cut unveiled by Victoria Beckham. The
hair is angled towards the front of the face with the back of the bob
being much shorter than the front.
2. The shorter the better!
Women were interested in cutting off inches this year and getting rid
of extra hair weight. Since folks' lives are busier than ever before,
women were also looking for ways to make their morning routine easier.
3. Katie Holmes' do
This style is a slightly different take on "The Posh," without the
ultra long front pieces. The cut consists of razored angles around
the base of the bob, adding a little more texture and body to the cut.
4. Reese Witherspoon's face-framing layers and short bangs
When Reese showed up at an event with new short, side-swept bangs and
pretty front angles around her face, women flocked to SalonCapri with
photos of Reese in their hands looking to replicate the same blonde
tresses.
5. Bangs
Bangs are an easy way to spice up one's hairstyle. Requests ranged
from ultra short to long, layered, bangs that can be pulled back
into a ponytail."The Year of 2007 was a year of daring hair style requests," said Nick Penna Jr., the nationally recognized and award-winning stylist/owner of SalonCapri. "Our customers came in looking to make noticeable changes in their hair styles and many were excited to take a risk. In 2008, we're going to see more glamorous, 1920s-inspired looks such as the polished bob and soft, loose waves on long hair."
