Oracle Certified Advantage Partner Waives Consulting Fees to Help Rebuilding Effort

MINNEAPOLIS, MN--(MARKET WIRE)--Nov 19, 2007 -- Apex IT (http://www.apexit.com) -- one of the nation's leading Oracle® Corporation (Oracle) systems integration partners -- announced today that the University of New Orleans (UNO) is working with Apex IT to implement Oracle's PeopleSoft Enterprise CRM 8.9 Online Marketing application to help maximize its enrollment post-Katrina.

"Oracle recommended to the university that they talk with us because we've helped many other colleges and universities automate their student recruitment processes through PeopleSoft Enterprise CRM technology," said Eric Steege. "We have a project consultant who lives in New Orleans, so we were particularly sensitive to the area's rebuilding efforts and wanted to help. What better way than to waive our consulting fees."

The implementation not only allows UNO to more efficiently market to prospective students, but also to manage the entire student application process and student life cycle. UNO Assistant Director for Admissions Data Management Longin Gogu said the university couldn't have made it through the project without Apex IT. "We lost a lot of students when Katrina hit, but we also lost faculty and staff. With the reduction in staff, integrating Online Marketing into our PeopleSoft CRM was put on hold. We were floored by Apex IT's generous offer."

This project hasn't gone unnoticed among Oracle application users in higher education. The Higher Education User Group (HEUG) -- a not-for-profit organization representing Oracle application customers in the higher education space -- recently asked UNO and Apex IT to share the UNO Online Marketing story at the 2008 HEUG Alliance meeting in Las Vegas. Scheduled for March 10-13, 2008 at the MGM Grand Hotel, Alliance '08 represents the largest annual gathering of Oracle application customers in higher education. For more information on the HEUG and Alliance '08, visit www.heug.org.

In addition to helping UNO, Apex IT has implemented PeopleSoft Enterprise CRM at a number of schools, including Arizona State University, Capella University, Humboldt State University (California), Moody Bible Institute and Rhema Bible College.
