When Pacific Magtron International (PMIC) couldn't get its sales up, it sought relief with an herbal remedy from Herborium Group. Its previous business of distributing computer hardware, software, and peripherals failed to the point that it filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in 2005. What remained was a shell with one director who oversaw its 2006 reverse merger with Herborium, a developer and marketer of herbal nutritional supplements. Herborium's current and proposed product line includes Chinese medical herbal blends marketed to clear up acne, boost energy, and heighten sexual functioning. CEO and president Agnes Olszewski and director James Gilligan each hold some 40% of the company's shares.
