A division of Jefferies Group, the firm specializes in mergers and acquisitions advice for middle- and emerging-market firms in the communications, information technology, health care technology, and digital media companies. It also provides restructuring and debt and equity underwriting services. Jeffries Broadview also invests in tech firms through an alliance with its former venture capital arm, Kennet Venture Partners, which was spun off in a sale to its management in 2003. Jefferies Group acquired the firm that year.
