City Telecom (H.K.) put metro residents in touch with the world at large. Known as CTI, the company is a provider of local and international calling services for residential and corporate customers in Hong Kong. It provides core fixed network services (including local telephony, Internet access, pay-television, and enterprise data services) to about 800,000 customers. Internet services are provided through subsidiary Hong Kong Broadband Network. CTI offers international connections via international direct dial (IDD). Additionally, it sells international calling cards and offers mobile forwarding services in Hong Kong and Canada. Chairman and founder Ricky Wong controls more than half of the company's shares.
