Through Carrier Transicold, it makes truck/trailer and container refrigeration equipment and provides transport air-conditioning systems for bus, rail, and marine customers. Carrier also provides aftermarket services and components for its products. The company is a subsidiary of diversified manufacturer United Technologies Corporation (UTC); it accounts for about a quarter of UTC's sales. Carrier operates around 60 manufacturing facilities and has dealers in more than 170 countries.
