Brazilian lumber and paper producer Klabin used to be all about tissue, newsprint, and market pulp, but the company is now shifting its focus to packaging papers, cardboards, corrugated boxes, wood, multiwall sacks, and envelopes. The leading package exporter in Latin America, Klabin owns and leases more than a million acres of Brazilian timberland. Primary products include eucalyptus and small logs, packaging paper (Kraftliner, Klabin Boards), corrugated boxes, sacks (for construction material and chemical uses), and envelopes. Established in 1899, the company is controlled by industrial group Klabin Irmãos & Cia and operates almost 20 factories in eight Brazilian states and Argentina.
