Not wanting to remain boxed in, Corporación Durango (CODUSA) continues to expand its packaging, paper, and wood products business. Formed in 1975, CODUSA transformed itself from a regional forest products operation into a leading maker of packaging in Mexico. It makes corrugated boxes, containerboard, linerboard, plywood, multi-wall sacks, newsprint, and other paper and wood products. Although the company has operations in the US, Mexico accounts for the bulk of its sales. Nestlé, PepsiCo, and Kimberly-Clark are some of CODUSA's main customers. CEO Miguel Rincón and his family control nearly 80% of the company. The company filed Chapter 15 for its US subsidiaries in October 2008; it emerged in August 2009.
