Transportadora de Gas del Sur (TGS), transports natural gas down south, in Argentina. The company delivers about 60% of natural gas used in Argentina through the nation's largest pipeline system (4,610 miles). Formerly state-run, TGS holds an exclusive license to transport gas from southern and western Argentina to distributors nearby and Buenos Aires. TGS's gas services include treatment, processing, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) marketing. It has built and operates a fiber-optic telecommunications network. The firm is controlled by Compañía de Inversiones de Energía (CIESA), which is itself controlled by PETROBRAS.
