Diversity is the name of the game for Grupo Industrial Saltillo (GIS). Its two business units make a range of metal and ceramic products. Cifunsa Foundry and Machining (formerly Autoparts Iron Foundry) makes iron diesel and gasoline engine blocks and heads for clients such as Caterpillar, GM, and Toyota. Cifunsa also produces parts and components for the agricultural, railroad, and household appliance industries. The Building Materials segment makes bathroom ceramic tiles and water heaters under such brands as Vitromex, Cal-o-Rex, Fluida, and HESA, which it distributes to Home Depot stores.
